The Sensei of Vintage 1980s Guitar 1987 Charvel Jackson learn and be taught

Hello friends and students Johnny here Sensei of 1980s Guitars. For those that do not know the history of Charvel Jackson... Here is a quickie fact.

In 1985 Grover Jackson shifted manufacturing guitars with a Charvel logo to Japan birthing the Charvel Model Series of imports. Just after this the last USA made guitar that Grover produced with a Charvel logo left the doors of the shop on Gladstone street in San Dimas/Glendora California. If you were a young kid that worked for Grover at that little shop you know that in the middle of production that year guitar necks that were already loge-ed with a Charvel logo were sanded down and new brand name was put on those necks. The Jackson brand name was officially on the headstock of all guitars that left the so called San Dimas shop. Today you all are familiar with that logo.

In 1987 the Jackson logo carried proudly the words "Made in USA" in smaller text right after the word Jackson. This logo was carried on through the entire 1990s and on through to today.

As a young guy in his twenties living in and around Hollywood California i along with many other rockers played our Charvel Jacksons with pride on the Sunset Strip. In 1987 it was impossible to visit Gazzarris or The Whiskey-A-Go-Go without seeing the many colorful Jacksons that had cool guitar graphics.

Take a good look at the logo on the headstock of this guitar. Now you can identify correctly an authentic post 1987 Jackson Charvel USA guitar from all the rest. So there is your super quick class session for today. Best wishes to my friends and supporters.. Verified by the Jackson Factory markings, day-date markings, and serial number.
